Supporting Deaf People through Winter

We will be offering Deaf people the opportunity to meet with our Duty Officers for a cost of living review.

At these meetings we will be:

• checking people are accessing the rebate on energy costs
• checking their benefits
• promoting food banks/community pantries
• giving a leaflet detailing all our community activities over winter
• giving out SignHealth therapy cards in case of mental health needs

Winter Warmer

Our friends at Deaf Active are creating Winter Warmer videos to promote movement in the home to keep warm as well a promoting their fitness space for people to attend 1-2-1 fitness and class activities.

Warm Hub Cafes

We are running Warm Hub cafes twice a week now in Queen’s Drive.  This is in addition to our regular community activities.
