FREE 1 Day Deaf Awareness and Introduction to BSL course
This is available to BRM (Black Racial Minority) and community groups. All courses run 9.30am - 4.30pm at MSDP, Queens Drive.

MSDP now Signature (CACDP) approved for BSL NVQ Level 4
Signature (formerly known as CACDP) has approved MSDP's Training and Development Department as an accredited centre for delivering BSL up to NVQ Level 4. It is only the fourth centre to be approved in the whole of the North West.

Nationally Accredited Training
Having won accreditation by the governing body, CACDP (Council for Advancement of Communication with Deaf People) in 2007, the Training & Development Department has successfully completed delivery of the BSL Level 3 and NVQ Level 3 courses.
“ Level 3 was a natural progression for our team, as we already delivered BSL Level 1 & 2. Our primary aim is to give students the skills they need to use BSL fluently in a variety of real-life situations. With the research students require for the course, they have the added bonus of learning more about the cultural aspects of the Deaf community. As in previous years, when we received wonderful acknowledgement of our work by being awarded a Highly Commended certificate at the National Training Awards, we continue to strive to deliver services of the highest quality and look forward to even greater challenges in 2008” said Linda Doddridge, Team Manager.
