Why your organisation would benefit from training.
- To continually improve communication and services that will enable Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing people to be fully empowered.
- The Training and Development Team has successfully provided effective equality training and specialist services throughout England for over 14 years. We aim to promote equality for people who are Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing.
- There are over 9 million deaf people in the U.K. that is 1 in 7 people, 1 in 7 of your service users and staff. Deaf people now have legal right under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), which aims to ensure that disabled people are treated as equal members of society and be given equal access to what most people take for granted. Training will help you to avoid unintentional discrimination as well as raise the profile of your organisation generating more business.
- We have worked with a number of partner organisations in the public and private sector to promote equality of access for Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing people. We have customised a range of programmes and training to match individual client needs.
