Interpreting and Communication Support
The Interpreting Unit has been operating within MSDP for more than 4 years and is one of the largest interpreting units in the region. The team provides communication support for all of the Deaf staff who are employed by the Society.
Community Information Department is a resource to provide MSDP and mainstream partners with a customised information service to address the information/communication requirements of local Deaf Community members.
Supporting People Department provides support to people in their own homes, promoting independence and offering varying support to meet the needs of each individual service user.
An access audit, as carried out by M.S.D.P., is specifically designed to consider the needs of Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people. An audit is carried out from the point of entrance through to the exit of the building.
Within the Environmental Aids Department we endeavour to remove any barriers relating to deafness whilst you are at home.
This department of specialised Social Workers provides a customised accessible social welfare support programme to D/deaf people.
This is a new service created to support adults with dual-sensory loss in the Merseyside area.
