Life offers many different challenges but to those who are D/deaf, Deaf/Blind or hard-of-hearing it also presents unseen difficulties because deafness itself is 'unseen'.
Hearing people are often unaware of the many opportunities and pleasures that are lost because of deafness. Deafness affects the whole person, their relationships, their career, their spiritual life and their life within the hearing world.
Lack of communication means more stress in relationships and affects at every stage and activity in life.
In order to continue to meet these challenges and facilitate the full and active participation of deaf people in the wider community, the Society will continue to develop funds to support its targeted initiatives.
To achieve this, the Society welcomes support in kind and donations that may be used to benefit its clients.
If you, your organisation or association believe you can support the Merseyside deaf community in realising its goals, or if you require further information, please contact:
